These tweezers have two fine slits in the end for holding small screws (e.g. for spectacles). If you have ever tried fitting small screws you will know that it is difficult holding them in flat tweezers and nearly impossible just using your fingers.
Widest part of the slit is 1mm across, tapering to about 0.2mm.
